SUSTAINABILITY
The road to Lower Carbon
- Environmental issues - DNA is committed to environmental issues in all its business activities. The increase in public awareness of global warming, environmental pollution issues and the pressures on the Construction Industry to achieve sustainability in the recent years has opened up a new business sector.
- Sustainable engineering - This is now established as a key process within the design and build of most new projects; the use of renewable energy sources being an essential part of sustainability. At DNA we have first hand experience in the use of green roofs, rain water harvesting, ground source heating pumps, wind turbines, solar-thermal panels and photovoltaic cells.
GREEN AUDIT
Clients might not necessarily wish to undertake building projects as such but instead want to make existing sites more environmentally friendly. DNA can also assist with this. We would be happy to come and assess your site and advise where you could reduce your carbon footprint.
DNA will carry out a Green Audit of your site and report back to you with options for you to choose from. All relevant technologies will be considered within a report with up front costs, payback periods and potential savings in financial terms as well as to the environment.
OTHER ISSUES
DNA can also advise organisations on a range of other subjects, including Health & Safety, Operational issues and Legislation.
